Information we do not collect

HiddenCloudCost is a client-side tool. We do not require registration, login, or any personal information to use the calculator. We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Payment or billing information
• Account credentials
• Cloud account details or infrastructure data you enter into the calculator

All calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser and encoded into the URL. They are never sent to our servers.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Plausible Analytics or similar) to understand aggregate traffic patterns - how many visitors use the site, which pages are most visited, and which countries traffic comes from. This data is anonymous, aggregated, and contains no personally identifiable information. No cookies are used for analytics purposes.

Local storage

We store your dark/light mode preference in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Shareable URLs

The calculator generates shareable URLs that encode your inputs (workload type, compute size, egress volume, selected services) as URL parameters. If you share a URL, anyone with that link can see those inputs. We do not store these URLs server-side - they are generated and decoded entirely in your browser.

Third-party links

This site contains links to cloud provider websites (AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean) and may contain affiliate links to those providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. The only browser storage we use is localStorage for your theme preference as described above.

Children's privacy

This Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
